The A9 was partially closed today outside Brora after six straw bales fell off a lorry and blocked the road.
The incident happened shortly after midday on Victoria Road and held up traffic for around two hours.
Caitlin Gunn snapped the incident on her phone, she said: “I wasn’t stuck for long at all, maybe five or 10 minutes tops whilst a another lorry driver took his fork lift off and cleared the road.”
“It happened just north of Brora heading Helmsdale way.”
A police spokesman said: “The incident was reported to us at around 12.10pm. Police attended where six straw bales had fallen off a lorry and blocked the road.
“Bear were called out and cleared up. The road was re-opened around 2pm.”
