An Inverness Hotel chain has pledged to raise £250,000 for charity after smashing their initial fundraising target.
Kingsmills Hotel Group set a goal of £200,000 in support of their chosen charity, The Highland Hospice.
Following the success of their annual Highland Hospice Gold Day earlier this month – featuring an awards ceremony and grand auction – the chain raised more than £40,000, far-exceeding their expectations and initial fundraising pledge of £200,000.
In order to continue supporting the charity, the chain is now aiming to raise a further £50,000 for next year’s target.
Tony Story, chief executive of the Kingsmills Hotel Group said: “We have been proudly supporting Highland Hospice for over a year now and we are amazed to have smashed our original fundraising target, allowing us to extend our fundraising efforts.
“This is a charity close to the hearts of many of our team and we are delighted to be able to help with their mission to provide end of life care for the people of the Highlands”.
