Police have issued a witness appeal following a serious crash on the A9.
Around 7:25pm last night, police received a report of a road crash involving a tractor, towing a livestock trailer, and a Ford Galaxy car on the A9 at Culbokie.
The 63-year-old male driver of the tractor was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. He has since been released. The driver of the Ford Galaxy, aged 52, was also taken to hospital where he currently remains.
The animals within the trailer were uninjured and officers would like to thank local farmers who assisted with the safe removal of the cows and sheep.
Police said an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the crash.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the vehicles prior to the incident happening to contact them.
In particular, if anyone has a dash cam, please check the footage as you may have captured footage which could assist with their inquiries.
