An unwell crew member has been evacuated from a north oil platform by a coastguard search and rescue helicopter.
Rescue 900 was tasked to assist in the incident by the Shetland Coastguard Operations Centre after a call was received at 10.12am.
The crew member was transported from the platform, 92 nautical miles to the east/ south-east of Sumburgh, to Tingwall for further treatment before being conveyed by ambulance to the Gilbert Bain Hospital.
It is the second time Rescue 900 has assisted in a medical evacuation today after being sent earlier to another platform to assist an unwell crew member.
The incident was reported to the coastguard around 8.20am with the casualty transported back to the Clickimin Landing Site, before being transferred on to the Gilbert Bain Hospital.
The severity of both casualties illnesses is currently unknown.
