A body recovered from the River Spey has been confirmed by Police as missing Jacqueline Ullmer from Carrbridge.
The 61-year-old was last seen at her home address on Station Road on Saturday, August 31 around 1.30am.
Following an extensive search by emergency teams and local residents of the village and surrounding area, her body was discovered in the River Spey at Garmouth, Fochabers on October 22.
In a statement, a police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can now confirm the body of a woman which was recovered from the River Spey at Garmouth, Fochabers on October 22, 2019 is that of Jacqueline Ullmer 61-years-old from Carrbridge who has been missing since August 31. The next akin and procurator fiscal have been informed.”
Aviemore Detective inspector Donnie MacDonald added: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Jacqueline and we are supporting them through this difficult time. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank all those who have assisted us in this extensive enquiry.”
