One person has been airlifted to hospital following a two-vehicle collision on the A9 near Aviemore.
The crash involved a transit van and a 15 tonne military vehicle and happened on the busy trunk road at its junction with the A95 shortly before 7pm this evening.
The occupant of the van was left trapped and had to be cut free by fire crews before being airlifted to hospital.
Their condition is unknown and the road remains closed in both directions.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 6.55pm following reports of a road crash at the A9 junction with the A95 near Aviemore. Officers are at the scene and the road is closed in both directions.”
