Mountaineers are coming together in Inverness this month to give outdoor enthusiasts essential advice before heading for the hills.
Ian Stewart, Mountain Safety Adviser with Mountaineering Scotland will be visiting the Tiso Outdoor Experience store at Longman Industrial Estate on November 28 to host an evening talk.
During the evening, he will share a multitude of photographs, videos, personal anecdotes and adventures, whilst equipping listeners with some essential skills in winter navigation, avalanche awareness, route choice and equipment.
The talk has been designed to help prepare mountaineers for the changing conditions faced by individuals venturing out into the winter mountains for the first time.
Attendance at the lecture should be booked in advance at a cost of £5, with all proceeds going to Mountain Rescue.
