Man dies following two-vehicle crash near Alness

Police have confirmed a man has died following a two-vehicle crash on the A9 near Alness.

The A9 at the junction with the B9176 near Alness is currently closed due to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles.

UPDATE:

Police have been advising motorists to seek alternative routes in the meantime.

Two fire appliances were called to attend, from Invergordon and Dingwall with a total of 11 crew at the scene.

Officers have advised the road will remain closed while investigations are ongoing.
