Police are appealing for help from the public to find a vulnerable 45-year-old man.
Paul Connelly is missing from his home on the isle of Bute and was last seen by his brother in Rothesay on November 20.
He hasn’t been in touch since then, which police say is out of character from him.
It is thought he may have travelled to Largs, Greenock or the Inverness area.
Paul is described as white, around 5ft 8ins with short dark-coloured hair.
When he was last seen he was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
Sergeant Anthony Hannah, who is based in Rothesay, said: “Although Paul lives alone, it is unusual for his family to have no contact for this length of time and they and police are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing and safety.
“Officers have been carrying out a number of searches and inquiries on the Isle of Bute to find him. We just want to ensure that he is safe and well.
“There is a possibility that he may have travelled to the Largs, Greenock or Inverness areas, so we are liaising with our colleagues there who are carrying out further inquiries.
“I would urge anyone who has seen Paul, or indeed Paul himself to contact police or his family to let us know he is safe.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 2911 of 29th November.”
