Inquiries are continuing to trace a Highland rapist who has been reported missing.
Police issued an appeal for help in tracing Derek Ray Mackay, after he failed to comply with conditions of a court order.
The 33-year-old from Invergordon was jailed for four years and three months in 2013 for raping a 30-year-old woman at a house in Ross-shire.
A police spokeswoman confirmed Mackay is still missing and “inquiries are continuing”.
Detective Inspector Craig Still said previously: “We want to trace Derek Mackay as quickly as possible and I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has information.
“I would like to reassure people that considerable and extensive efforts are being put into locating him.”
He was described as a risk to the public and anyone who spots him is urged not to approach. Instead, people are advised to phone police on 101 as soon as they can.
Mackay is described as being 5ft 8in in height, of medium build, fair complexion, with short brown hair.
