A prestigious ballet school in Argyll will take its production of Swan Lake on tour in the New Year.
Ballet West, based at Taynuilt, will open the show at Oban’s Corran Halls on January 25.
It will be led by Principal Guest Artists Norton Fantinel and his wife, Karina Moreira, who will present 12 performances in seven venues across Scotland, including Glasgow and Edinburgh.
They will be supported by nearly 100 young dancers from Ballet West’s Upper School in Taynuilt and students from the Ballet West High Performance Lower School in Oban, including 2019 Genee international ballet competition medalist Ashton Parker and fellow finalist Caitlin Jones.
In addition, 200 students on the associate programmes in Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow will be taking part in local performances.
The tour begins in Oban before moving on to Livingston, Dundee, Glasgow, Greenock and Stirling, finishing at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on February 16.
