Tobermoray RNLI volunteer crew member Rose Skelton and her wife Nomi Stone had their marriage blessed on the Severn class lifeboat on Saturday.
After being piped down Tobermory’s colourful Main Street by the Mull and Iona Pipe Band, the couple were met by a guard of honour of members of the lifeboat crew.
Tobermory RNLI Coxswain David McHaffie led a short blessing before everyone present raised a glass of Tobermory single malt whisky and made a toast ‘to the wives’.
He said: “Rose and Nomi are part of our lifeboat family and it was an honour to be part of their marriage blessing today.
“All of us at the station wish them fair winds and following seas.”
Rose said: “Joining the Tobermory crew was one of the best things I’ve ever done and I’m so happy to see how the station has welcomed Nomi in as part of the family too.”
