A man has been airlifted to hospital after taking unwell while climbing a Highland Munro.
The coastguard’s search and rescue helicopter was called out at 1.25pm to airlift the casualty from Sgurr a’Mhaim in Lochaber to Belford Hospital in Fort William.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team are also involved in the rescue as remaining members of the group have gotten into difficulty on their descent.
Team Leader John Stevenson said: “The remaining members have got themselves a bit stuck and the weather is starting to come in.
“Our guys are assisting help them off the hill to safety.”
A police spokeswoman said: “Police received a report of a man taking unwell in a group on Sgurr a’Mhaim around 1.25pm.
“Mountain rescue were notified with the man airlifted off with three others people.
“No serious injuries have been sustained.
“The helicopter has returned to assist with the remaining group members.”
