Dingwall Gaelic Choir will host its biennial Burns Supper on January 10.
The event, thought to be the earliest celebration in the area to mark the Bard’s birthday, takes place at Dingwall Academy.
Well-known Burns exponent Ramsay McGhee will lead the proceedings, with speakers including school staff members Steven Learmont and Annie Parker.
Pupils Aimee Georgeson and Abigail Innes will sing, as will choir member Christina Stewart and choir conductor Ross Brindle. The choir’s own piper, Shona Scott Laidlaw, will pipe in the haggis.
The Immortal Memory will be given by Sandy Thomson and traditional musical will be played by a trio from the Inver-Ross Accordion and Fiddle Group. To find out more, call 01463 870630.
