Highlanders will take to the Celtic Connections stage later this month to join musicians from all over the worldfor more than 300 events from January 16 to February 2.

Among those heading south Mànran – who played Oban’s Corran Halls earlier this week – and are also kicking off their 10th anniversary celebrations, folk act Breabach who mark 15 years since their Connections debut and fiddle players Lauren MacColl and Adam Sutherland.

Strathspey pianist, flautist and composer Hamish Napier will also perform, as will his brother Findlay Napier with Gillian Frame and Mike Vass.

Blazin’ Fiddles, Session A9, Graham Mackenzie, Duncan Chisholm, award winning duo Anna & Mairearad will all star – as will Rachel Sermanni and Julie Fowlis.

Donald Shaw, Creative Producer of Celtic Connections, said: “Celtic Connections will once again put on a diverse and expansive programme of events, welcoming musicians and visitors from near and far to Glasgow for this iconic winter festival. “Home-grown talent continues to be at the heart of Celtic Connections and we’re looking forward to welcoming artists from across the Highlands to entertain the crowds on this international stage.”
