Inquiries are still ongoing to help trace a 72-year-old man who has been missing for more than a month.
James Paton was last seen around 1.30pm on Monday, December 23 driving his Dacia Duster on the Fanellan Farm Road near to Ruttle Woods, having gone for a walk with his dog.
CCTV images of Mr Paton at the filling station of his home village of Beauly just a short time before his final sighting were released by officers just weeks ago as part of a renewed appeal for information.
Advanced searches have been carried out by emergency teams and local residents in recent weeks in an effort to trace his whereabouts.
Sergeant Brian Bisset of Beauly Police Station said: “James Paton was last seen over four weeks ago on Monday, 23 December, 2019, and our enquiries continue to trace him.
“Since he was last seen we have conducted searches in the Beauly area, specifically around the River Beauly and Ruttle Woods, with assistance from Police Scotland’s specialist resources and a number of partner agencies.”
Mr Paton is described as 5ft 5ins, of stout build with a grey beard and hair and wears glasses.
He added: “At this time there have been no further sightings of Mr Paton and anyone who may have information that could help us trace him should contact officers as soon as possible.”
