Stormy weather forces Highland primary schools and nurseries to close

Four primary schools and two nurseries have been closed in the Highlands because of the weather today.

Achiltibuie Primary and its nursery are both shut because the building has no water, heating and power.

It’s a similar story at Mallaig Primary, which was forced to close around midday because of a power cut.

Inverie Primary, Kingussie Primary and Kingussie Primary’s nursery are also closed today because of adverse weather conditions.
