Lochaber and Skye Police have issued a poem through their social media channels to remind all lovers this Valentines Day to be on their best behaviour.
The tweet, which has been distributed to their following in excess of 7,000 people, takes the form of traditional Valentines poems and is accompanied by related images of a police cell.
Roses are red The cells are grey Commit crime in our beat And you can enjoy our all inclusive single room en-suite accommodation with dinner, bed and breakfast for free this Valentines Day. #HappyValentinesDaypic.twitter.com/707uT9PP3w
The poem reads: “Roses are red, the cells are grey, commit crime in our beat, and you can enjoy our all-inclusive single room en-suite accommodation with dinner, bed and breakfast for free this Valentines Day.”
The tweet is accompanied by images of a lonely looking Pot Noodle, accompanied by a cereal bar within the cell.
It is not the first time the division has been recognised for its quirky tweets having previously appealed to the owner of recovered drugs to drop by the station to collect their lost property.
