Motorists were urged to avoid the area and take alternative routes where possible due to the incident north of Invermoriston. The road was closed just before 2pm. Teams from BEAR Scotland were sent to the scene to remove the tree and the road was reopened at 5.20pm. A yellow weather warning for high winds is currently in place as Storm Dennis arrives in the UK. Gusts of up to 70mph are expected to batter the north and north-east tonight and tomorrow morning. Sepa has also issued flood alerts for the region.
