A weather warning for snow and ice covering a large area of the Highlands has been issued.
The Met Office yellow alert says frequent showers will turn increasingly wintry through Monday evening, allowing snow to settle on some higher routes. Up to one inch is likely above around 650ft with up to 2in possible above 1,300ft.
Showers will be accompanied by strong westerly winds which may lead to some drifting. Ice may also form on untreated surfaces.
Motorists are being warned the conditions could lead to some travel disruption.
The warning is in place until 11am on Tuesday.
