The Coastguard Operations Centre in Shetland received a call just before 9pm to aid a medical evacuation. The Rescue 900 from Sumburgh was sent to the offshore platform to assist and is currently on its way back to Lerwick. The platform is located approximately 93 nautical miles to the north east of Sumburgh. A spokesman for Shetland Coastguard said they were called to a medical evacuation and the Lerwick Coastguard team have gone to assist the helicopter. More to follow.
