Man taken to hospital after Highland harbour incident

A man has been rescued from the water at a north harbour.

The alarm was raised at 3.45pm after police received reports of a man in the water near to Balmacara Harbour.

Kyle of Lochalsh lifeboat crew were also called out.

Police said he was recovered from the water and taken to hospital. His condition is unknown.

A police spokeswoman said: “Inquiries are ongoing and we are liasing with partner agencies to establish the circumstances of the incident.”
