Highlanders are being invited to abseil off the Forth Bridge to help Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland.
The challenge on June 14 will see participants abseiling 165ft to support the charity to provide vital care people need to rebuild their lives.
There are more than 34,300 people in Highland living with chest, heart and stroke conditions. Often people find themselves feeling isolated and lonely and they struggle with the impact their condition has had on their lives.
By signing up to abseil for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland participants can help people to get back to doing the things they love.
Ashleigh Jedan, community and events manager, Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland, said: “I realise it’s a big ask to expect people to travel down to the Forth Rail Bridge, but I know what big hearts the Highlanders have.
“We are appealing to people’s inner superhero to take up the challenge and to help us ensure people living in our community with chest, heart and stroke conditions can get the right support, when and where they need it.
“The Forth Bridge Abseil is an exhilarating way to have fun, challenge yourself and to rope in your friends and family.
“Maybe you could do this as a personal challenge, or perhaps you could face your fear of heights, or maybe you would like to take on a heartfelt challenge in memory of a loved one.
“Whatever your reason for taking part you would be helping people to do more than survive, you would be helping them to really live.”
