A man has died near Dingwall after his quad bike left the road and crashed.
Police, fire and ambulance crews all made their way to Docharty Brae, near to the Glen Wyvis distillery, shortly after 2.30pm today.
It’s understood the man’s vehicle left the road and plunged down a steep slope before coming to rest in a ditch.

The location complicated the emergency response, though units were on scene within minutes.
A helicopter was sent to Dingwall in a effort to save the casualty, with paramedics seen working on him at the bottom of the slope.
Their efforts were sadly unsuccessful.
A police spokeswoman said: “A man has died following a one vehicle crash involving a quad bike on Docharty Brae in Dingwall.
“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash.”
The fire service said it had sent three appliances to help at the scene. It is understood they helped to recover the quad bike.
One witness said: “The casualty was receiving treatment from paramedics in the ditch on a steep slope on the road to the Heights of Docharty, near the Glen Wyvis distillery.
“Two fire engines, paramedics, police and ambulance were all at the scene and a helicopter has also flown over.”
