A weather warning forecasting snow and ice has been extended for parts of the Highlands and Moray.
Motorists in the north are facing snowy conditions on some of the regions roads today while strong gusts are also expected to batter the region.
Today the Met Office has extended its warning until 10am tomorrow.
The yellow alert warns: “Wintry showers, including snow settling away from the west coast, will continue through Saturday onwards into early Sunday. Accumulations of 1 to 3 cm are expected above 100 to 200 m with 5 to 10 cm above 300 m. Icy patches will be an additional hazard along with some strong, gusty winds.”
The wintry conditions are expected to continue into the beginning of next week.
