The A9 has reopened after a fuel tanker blocked the busy Highland road in both directions following an accident.
Heavy snow has fallen in the Inverness area this afternoon, causing traffic to snarl up at a number of locations across the city.
The Met Office has not issued a weather warning but there is further snow forecast to fall.

Officers were called to the scene south of Daviot shortly after 12.30pm.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called around 12.40pm today following reports of one vehicle crash where a fuel tanker has collided with the barrier on the A9 southbound near Daviot. The road is currently blocked.”
The occupant of the vehicle is not believed to have been injured in the crash.
