Police have released CCTV images of missing man Gordon Buchan in the hope of “jogging the memory” of local residents.
The 56-year-old was last seen in the Kyle area around 3pm on Sunday.
A major search was launched after a light blue Citroen C4 was found abandoned outside the Taste of India Restaurant, located at the north end of Kyleakin, with the keys still in the ignition.
Emergency teams from across Skye and the north have carried out door-to-door inquiries alongside extensive searches of the surrounding area and coastline in the hope of tracing the missing 56-year-old.
Officers have now released a series of fresh images as searches remain ongoing.
The first image shows the most recent confirmed sighting of Mr Buchan at the Co-operative supermarket in Broadford, around 6.30pm on Sunday.
The second image is of his vehicle, bearing the registration RO06 KFU, found within the Kyleakin area.
Inspector Lynda Allan said: “We are releasing these further two images in the hope that they might jog the memory of someone who may have seen Gordon, or might be able to help in this missing person investigation.
“Clearly Gordon’s family are extremely concerned for his welfare and we have been supporting them through this very difficult time.”
She added: “We are also asking anyone who may have travelled along the A87 road between Broadford and Kyle of Lochalsh, on Sunday evening or Monday morning, in a vehicle which may have been fitted with a dash-cam, to come forward in order that we may examine any footage for anything which might assist us.”
