Wintry weather has returned to the north and north-east.
Snow gates on the A93 between Braemar and Glenshe have been closed while motorists in the Highlands faced snowy conditions on many of the north’s roads this morning.
Meanwhile pupils at Stratherrick Primary and nursery will be spending the day at home after the schools closed due to bad weather.
The Met Office issued a yellow alert this week warning the snowy and icy conditions could cause travel disruption.
Motorists were faced with snowy scenes in parts of the Highlands this morning.
