The Western Isles Council has suspended parking charges in Stornoway town centre whilst restrictions relating to the coronavirus outbreak are in place.
The move follows suit of other local authorities, who have opted to relax the fees motorists would usually pay to use the parking facilities.
Despite relaxing the rules, chiefs at Western Isles Council have however asked users to remain considerate and try to stick maximum stay times in respective areas where possible.
The Western Isles was the last location in Scotland to declare confirmed cases of Covid-19, with the latest government briefing confiriming that only three confirmed cases have been reported.
