The gates at the Breiwick Road and the Knab Road entrances have been taken away to help avoid covid-19 transmission on the hard surfaces of the gates. Nearby gates at Hjaltland Place and below the skate park have also been tied open. Government advice during the lockdown is to exercise locally and the path is well used by walkers and dog owners. The council say that, with the gates removed, dog owners should consider keeping their dogs on a lead.
