Kayakers sparked an emergency response in Shetland this afternoon.
A spokesman for the emergency service confirmed that crews were scrambled in response to police concerns about a pair of men carrying out the pursuit in water near Bigton.
He said: “Just before 5pm, Shetland Coastguard got a call from the police to say there was concern for two kayakers in the Bigton area.
“There was concern for their welfare as the reporter wasn’t able to get in touch with them.
“As soon as the Coastguard team went out a couple of kayaks were spotted on one of the islands outside Bigton. It was quickly confirmed it was the missing kayakers.”
