A local authority is observing one-minute of silence in order to commemorate those who have lost their lives at work.
The Highland Council will mark International Workers’ Memorial Day tomorrow at 11am.
On Workers’ Memorial Day it will remember those who have died at work, or those who died from work-related injury and diseases.
This year, International Workers’ Memorial Day commemorates those who have lost their lives to coronavirus.
While memorial events cannot take place due to Covid-19 – as public gatherings around the world are not advised or allowed – the council said “we will remember”.
