A new manager has stepped-up to lead Nairn’s Business Improvement District.
Lucy Harding will take over from Janis Maclean at the end of this week and assume leadership of efforts to support the town’s businesses.
She moved to the seaside in August with her husband Neil and two children Charlie and Suzi after falling in love with the area while visiting friends.
With a strong background in tourism, working for adventure travel company Explore, and business, following the establishment of the charity Dementia Adventure alongside her husband, she is primed to take Nairn BID forward.
Mrs Maclean, who managed Nairn BID for 18 months, is leaving the post to concentrate on her Leopold Street-based business, Coast Candle Co.
Mrs Harding said of Nairn: “It really has it all.
“The town itself is beautiful and has so much to offer, but then it is so well placed for visiting other parts of the country too. It’s so accessible.
“It has a lot going for it and I am excited to have this new role.
“Nairn BID is a great organisation which has achieved so much already, in such a short space of time.
“I am really looking forward to continuing the projects already underway, but also starting new ones to benefit the town and its people.”
