A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash near Nairn. The incident, reported around 12.35pm, occurred on the A96 Inverness to Aberdeen road on the stretch between Nairn and Forres at Wester Hardmuir Farm. The motorcyclist’s injuries are not understood to be serious and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. A police spokesman said the vehicles involved were a BMW car and the Kawasaki motorcycle, with the driver of the car uninjured. The road was partially blocked, however, a police spokesman confirmed around 3.15pm that it has fully reopened.
