Motorists are being warned to expect delays as resurfacing works start across two sections of the A82.
The £550,000 project by Bear Scotland will address almost two miles of carriageway north of Invergarry, creating a smoother and safer journey for motorists.
Overnight road closures will remain in place for the next two weeks due to the narrow road widths to keep roadworkers and motorists safe.
The surfacing improvements will take place between 8pm and 6am each night, excluding Friday and Saturday evenings, with work expected to be complete by Wednesday, July 8.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said: “The £550,000 surfacing improvements will help address the defects on this section of the A82 and greatly improve the surface for motorists.”
To help minimise disruption, a diversion will be in place via the A87 and A887 between Invergarry and Invermoriston.
Temporary traffic measures in the form of a 30mph speed limit will also be imposed during the day as motorists travel over a temporary surface.
