Ten drivers were caught by police over the course of the weekend allegedly driving under the influence of drink or drugs.
Police in the Highlands and Islands have released the figures as part of a two-week operation, with the past weekend signalling the first activity as part of its summer crackdown.
The operation will run until July 12 with officers relying on intelligence to lead patrols.
The force said four men, aged between 20 and 44, failed roadside drug tests and were arrested with two found in Inverness, one in Aviemore and one in Alness.
An additional six people were found to be drink-driving.
A 26-year-old woman was stopped in Alness, with a 46-year-old woman providing a positive breath test after being involved in a one-vehicle crash in Inverness-shire.
Four men, aged between 23 and 47, were also detected, with two being arrested in Inverness, one in Golspie and one in Stornoway.
