Police launched a crackdown on the popular North Coast 500 tourist route as visitors again began exploring the Highlands over the weekend.
Officers charged 15 motorists in connection with speeding offences, and collared two people driving without insurance.
They engaged with more than 100 drivers to offer tips along the route over the weekend and a further 22 warnings were issued in connection with various road traffic offences.
Inspector Donnie Mackinnon from the road policing unit, said: “Our aim is to reduce road casualties and influence driver behaviour on all our roads and these dedicated patrols provide an additional road policing presence in the more rural areas in the Highlands.”
