Emergency services were called to a north loch after the “sudden death” of a 35-year-old man.
The Melness, Durness and Kinlochbervie Coastguard Rescue Teams and the Stornoway search and rescue helicopter assisted the ambulance service and police at an incident at Loch Eribol following a 999 call at 1.23pm yesterday
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called around 2.50pm on July 21 to Loch Eriboll, Lairg, following the sudden death of a 35-year-old man.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained pending the result of a post mortem but is not thought to be suspicious.”
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
