A woman holidaymaker was taken to hospital after an accident at an outdoor centre in Aviemore earlier today.
The incident happened while the woman was on a zip wire at the TreeZone centre in Rothiemurchus.
She was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness as a precaution but later released after a check up.
The centre has been closed while health and safety checks are carried out.
TreeZone is operated by In Your Element, which operates a number of outdoor centres in Scotland.
A spokesman for the company said: “An incident occurred at TreeZone high ropes course in Aviemore this morning.
“An initial investigation leads us to believe that part of the primary breaking system on the main zip wire failed.
“The secondary brake operated as it is designed to and stopped the customer.
“Following the incident an adult female visitor was taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
“TreeZone will remain closed for now until a full health and safety check of the entire course can take place on Monday by an external independent safety specialist. ”
“The course will not re-open to the public until we are fully satisfied that it is safe to do so.”
