Police have confirmed a 77-year-old man who had not returned home from trail biking in the Highlands has been traced.
George McGowan was due to return home on Monday and was later reported missing.
He had been biking around Ben Bhraggie, near Golspie, on a white Beta Alp 200 motorcycle.
The force issued an appeal to the public last night in a bid to trace him.
They have now confirmed Mr McGowan has been found safe and well in the local area.
Chief Inspector Jamie Wilson said: “We are grateful to all of the public volunteers who helped with our inquiries, as well as our partners from Assynt Mountain Rescue Team, HM Coastguard, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and SARDA for their assistance with searches overnight and into today.”
