Stuart Campbell departed for the beauty spot last weekend, however, did not return or contact family, sparking the large scale search. The 33-year-old’s vehicle, a red Suzuki Swift, was found at the car park at the foot of the mountain on Tuesday. Chief Inspector Jamie Wilson said searchers are “growing increasingly concerned for his welfare”. Mr Campbell’s lack of contact is said to be out of character. Searches have involved Assynt and the RAF mountain rescue teams, a coastguard helicopter and search and rescue dogs. Mr Campbell is described as 5ft 6in tall, of slim build with brown hair. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
