A car has been reported on fire on Yell with a coastguard helicopter drafted in to transport emergency services from the Shetland mainland.
The fire service said the incident was reported at 1.58pm on the B9082 Gutcher to Cullivoe road with one crew from Yell in attendance.
Coastguard helicopter Rescue 900 from Sumburgh was drafted in to provide assistance with Mid Yell and Lerwick coastguard teams also tasked.
Police remain on the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 2.05pm on Friday, 31 July, police were called to a report of a car on fire on the B9082, Gutcher to Cullivoe road on Yell.
“Officers are currently at the scene.”
Meanwhile, the fire service stated that they left the scene at 5pm after extinguishing the fire.
