A spate of crashes across the Highlands today left two people injured.
At about 9.30am a male driver was airlifted to Raigmore hospital in Inverness following a two vehicle crash between his car and a motorbike on the A87 Kyle to Uig road at Earlish on Skye.
An ambulance spokeswoman said that he was flown to Inverness by helicopter with suspected chest injuries.
Around the same time, there was another collision between two cars on Station Road in Newtonmore.
Police and ambulance crews were both at the scene alongside two fire crews from Kingussie and Newtonmore.
A fire service spokesman said no cutting equipment was used and that they were there for safety reasons.
A police spokesman said no-one was seriously hurt in the crash.
Later in the morning at about 11.50am, a motorcyclist crashed his bike on the A835 Tore-Ullapool road near Ullapool, about one mile north of Ardmair. A police spokesman said that the biker was taken to Raigmore hospital with a leg injury.
