A body has been recovered from a yacht moored in the Dornoch Firth after an operation involving RAF and coastguard teams.
The man, who was in his 70s, was found on board a trimaran, called Anlin, after relatives raised the alarm when they could not contact him.
A search and rescue helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth was sent to the scene at Ardmore and a winchman went onboard the vessel, however the man was pronounced dead.
Police said yesterday there were no suspicious circumstances, but refused to give further details.
The vessel was towed to nearby Ferrypoint by the Dornoch inshore lifeboat.
Aberdeen Coastguard said it received a call from a member of the public at around 8pm on Friday night, raising concerns that they could not contact the man.
