The 28-year-old’s car, a Seat Leon with the registration CA58 ROS, was later found around 12.30am on Thursday on a track five miles to the west of Ardgay.

Despite a large scale search of the area during the small hours and earlier today, which included a coastguard helicopter, Mr Ross remains missing.
Inspector Joanne Thomson of Tain Police Station said: “We have considerable concerns about Kelvin’s wellbeing and would urge anyone with information which could help us trace him comes forward as soon as possible.
“We would ask anyone who may have seen Kelvin or may have seen his car being driven between Tain and Ardgay during Wednesday afternoon to get in touch.”
Anybody with information is asked to contact police on 101.
