The man, who was understood to be heading for his yacht near Dunvegan, called for help around 3.15pm. Stornoway coastguard was informed of the incident and tasked Dunvegan coast rescue team. A nearby fish farm vessel was able to assist and helped the man to his yacht, which was located on a swinging mooring. The man was checked over by the coastguard team but was found to be “safe and well”. The incident concluded around 5pm.
