The drivers of a lorry and a car escaped injury when their vehicles collided on the A830 Road to the Isles in Lochaber this morning.
A police spokesman said the accident happened at Beasdale Bridge, near Lochailort, on the Fort William to Mallaig road, at about 8.30am.
He said: “The fire service was called, but was not required. No one was hurt.”
A fire service spokeswoman said three appliances – two from Fort William and one from Acharacle – attended at the scene as the initial report suggested someone may have been trapped in one of the vehicles.
The lorry involved in the accident was a tanker belonging to Ferguson Transport of Spean Bridge.
