A walker who fell earlier today and sustained a leg injury has been airlifted to hospital in Fort William.
The Inverness based coastguard search and rescue helicopter was tasked around 10am to provide assistance to the man near Ardnish, south of Arisaig.
The man was situated approximately five miles on the peninsula with the decision taken to send the helicopter to avoid teams having to scramble over boggy conditions.
A coastguard spokeswoman said the man was airlifted to the Belford Hospital with the helicopter touching down around 11.45am.
