Highland communities have been urged to remain vigilant as flood warnings have been issued across the north of Scotland.
Residents have been warned by the Met Office that heavy and persistent rain is expected to develop over the most western parts of the region during Saturday evening.
It is predicted these treacherous conditions will continue for most of the weekend, experts have predicted that “flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.”
While spray and flooding on roads will probably increase journey times, bus and train services are also likely to be hit by the rain, making journey times potentially longer.
SEPA are yet to issue their own flood warning, advice from the Met Office has stated that staying up to date and informed on the weather is the best way to prepare for poor conditions.
