Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was pushed and followed by a man beside a Highlands river.
This incident occurred last night between 8.30pm and 9pm at the public footpath beside the Averon River in Alness.
The man is described as being 50 to 60 years of age with a local accent and wearing a black puffa jacket with a large puffy collar.
The public footpath is underneath the A9 and is a popular area with local dog walkers and anglers who may have been in the area at the time.
Members of the community are urged to report any information they have regarding this incident to police by attending their local police station, phoning Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively if they wish to remain anonymous by phoning CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
